After a long weekend of frolicking on the Costa Rican beach in her bikinis, Britney Spears hopped on the private jet back to LA yesterday evening. She was showing off her extra tanned body with her agent Jason Trawick right behind, but still no sign of her host for the weekend, Mel Gibson. A moment of R and R seems like just what she needed before getting back to her LA life, and I'm sure her boys will love any souvenirs she picked up on her mini vacation. She's supposedly back in town to work on an even more involved custody deal, so hopefully this trip helped clear her head for the important meetings.

Adnan Ghalib Shopping Britney Spears Sex Tape

Adnan Ghalib, the photographer who leeched onto Britney Spears during the midst of her apparent breakdown, claims to have a sex tape with the pop star and is shopping around for the highest bidder.
Of course he is. Like this is some sort of surprise? We all knew he was using her, and Britney was just dumb, or ill, enough to let him.
The tape is reportedly over two hours long and contains about 20 minutes of actual sex, the rest is stripping and foreplay. Britney wears her infamous pink wig throughout the film and strips down to nothing. When Adnan asks her to remove the wig Britney says, “Take what off? There’s nothing left to take off.”
Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!
The tape was supposedly filmed while the two ran off to Mexico back in January.
You know, it’s actually surprising that a Britney sex tape has never been leaked. Yeah, we have all seen her famous clamato, but not in action. I’m still surprised Federline never stooped to that level and leaked a tape. I guess he didn’t have to though, he just knocked her up instead. The ultimate meal ticket for the celebrity parasite. I hope this rumor isn’t true though, because just the thought of Brit and Adnan doing the nasty is enough for me to hurl…let alone watching it. And yes, if it is real, I’ll have to watch it.

K-Fed attorney says intense media interest has its benefits

LOS ANGELES — Kevin Federline's attorney can't complain about the intense interest in his client's child-custody battle with Britney Spears.

He doesn't grumble about the television trucks and news reporters swarming the courthouse every time there's a hearing, or the paparazzi who hound the pop princess every moment there isn't. And he's certainly not opposed to the TV reports, tabloids and websites that have documented every shred of the case that has consumed him for the past 18 months.

After all, the attention has saved his side some major cash.

"If I had to hire an investigator or investigators to provide me with the intelligence about what's going on, where they are, how are they doing," said Mark Vincent Kaplan, "it would be north of half a million to a million dollars ... as opposed to buying People magazine for $3.95 on Thursday morning or going on TMZ."

On May 6, the 61-year-old attorney emerged from Superior Court in Los Angeles where, for the first time in months, there was positive news to report about the former couple's custody tug-of-war: Spears was to have longer visits with her children.

The change, he said, was "recognition of the progress that has been made, a progress in structure and stability."

Days later, he sat down with The Associated Press at his high-rise office near Beverly Hills, letting on that those inside the case were viewing it through the same prism as the rest of us.

"Everyone who had a big toe in this case at every level followed what was going on by looking at the Web sites," he said.

Spears has always been an irresistible media target, but the 26-year-old's split from Federline launched a series of antics that amplified coverage of her life. The pop star appeared in public without underwear, shaved her own head at a suburban salon and beat a car with an umbrella. She checked in and out of rehab, got into fender-benders, inexplicably spoke with a British accent and made a paparazzo her personal companion.

Twice she was rushed by ambulance to local hospitals, drawing hordes of helicopters each time.

"No other case has had the media addiction and frenzy that surrounded this case and these people 24-seven," he said. "There's never been anything like this, and there probably won't be for a while."

Each bizarre episode formed a new wrinkle in her custody dispute, and each twist prompted a new round of news reports. The press swarmed whenever Spears was allowed to see 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, and she was not averse to trotting the tots through known paparazzi hot spots.

In January, after her second hospitalization, Spears' visitation rights were suspended completely; her father, Jamie Spears, legally took over her personal and financial affairs in a conservatorship - a legal designation normally reserved for cases involving the elderly and infirm.

But in the ensuing months, she has avoided the harsh spotlight, instead spending time with family and even finding success in a cameo role on television's "How I Met Your Mother."

The scene at the May 6 hearing was so low-key as to be almost anticlimactic. The tide had apparently turned, not only for Spears, but also for the horde that was feeding off months of high drama.

It was a long time coming.

"In order for a high-profile case not to be high profile, everybody's got to want it not to be high profile," Kaplan said. "That wasn't happening for a while."

While the frenzy may have abated, it hasn't completely dissipated, in part because the case is continuing in open court rather than before a private judge, where celebrities often choose to settle their private affairs. Kaplan says that's happening for reasons he can't discuss.

One of the effects, however, is an evolution of Federline's public image - from the guy who caused the downfall of America's pop princess, to the more stable, responsible parent in an ugly situation.

"I think when the media saw that here's a guy who stepped up to the plate, not just because he had to but because he wanted to ... I think they gained a respect for him and that really turned them around a lot," Kaplan said. "The mission involved - wanting to change the wrongful impression that was generally perceived for my client - without the media being a willing participant, it would have been impossible."

That "mission" is why Kaplan says he took the case. Kaplan prepared Federline's prenuptial agreement, and the two reunited when Spears filed for divorce.

"It was at that time that I knew that this was someone that I believed in who was taking on a cause that I believed in," Kaplan said. "I realized that, in order to achieve the goal that he had regarding custody, that we couldn't get from point A to point B without passing right through the Center of the American dream."

With A-list resources, Spears has employed a revolving door of representation, including four family law firms and some 15 attorneys throughout the case, while Kaplan and his partner, Jim Simon, have been the only two fighting for Federline. Spears was forced to pay most of his legal bills, and as of last month, Kaplan was still due $343,834.

When Federline, who has two other children from a previous relationship, won sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James in January, it was a victory for Kaplan & Simon, LLP. And it was merited, said Connoly Oyler, a veteran Los Angeles family law attorney who is not involved in the Spears-Federline matter.

"In Spears' case, with the emotional breakdown that she had, that's a legitimate reason for one parent to say, 'I want sole legal and sole physical (custody), because the other parent is not physically or psychologically able to take care of the children,"' he said. "There is good reason for Kevin Federline doing what he did, legally."

Despite the overabundance of drama and media, the Spears-Federline case does share one thing with other custody disputes, Kaplan said: It's a battle over the welfare of children who don't grasp what's going on around them.

"The bottom line is you've got two kids ... who don't know and don't care and should never have to care about who their parents are," he said. "They just want to be safe and secure, nurtured and bonded with their parents just like any other kids. ... That's really what's at the core of this just like any other case."

Kaplan said he's proud of what he and Simon have accomplished for Federline. The case is arguably among the most significant in the attorney's 34-year career, and Kaplan said it has inspired personal satisfaction and professional growth.

"We've expanded and everyone's coming and wanting to hire me," he said. "I'm seen as, in a lot of ways, taking on Goliath."

"Very few lawyers get the opportunity that this case has presented on every possible issue you can think of," he continued. "Even fewer lawyers recognize the opportunity, and even a smaller percentage of those have the (guts) to go for the opportunity."

Of course being around celebrity has perks of its own.

"It's made it possible to not have to make reservations at a restaurant," he said, "but that too shall pass."

Mel Gibson and Britney Spears on vacation together!

1703_spears_lg_a.jpg

What the heck!!!

ET breaks news that Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are currently en route to Costa Rica on vacation together! Britney arrived on time, about 5 minutes after Mel, and the plane departed at 9:05 a.m.

We spotted them leaving on a private plane to the Central American state early this morning. Sources tell us that Mel is taking Britney and her father Jamie for a mini-vacation. We’ve learned they will be guests at Mel’s home in Costa Rica.

According to the terms of her custody Britney’s children cannot leave the country without special approval, so they are not joining her on the trip.

While the pop star and the actor may appear to be an unlikely duo, they used to live in the same Malibu community and were spotted having dinner together at Studio City’s Romanov restaurant in March.

Britney Spears to star in third “How I Met Your Mother” show?

Washington, May 12 (ANI): American pop princess Britney Spears has been asked to make a second appearance on the “How I Met Your Mother” show, and she may very well be returning for a third time.

The CBS comedy, which became popular with Spears cameo, had its show’s co-creator Craig Thomas writing a script during Monday’s episode in which a door has been left open for the pop singer to make a return.

“She was better than the first time and I think the fans will enjoy it because her return answers a larger mystery set up earlier in the series,” the hollywood reporters quoted Thomas as having said to THR.com.

“So there’s a good plot reason why she’s there. And when people watch Britney’s second appearance on the show they’ll see that the door is still open for her to come back,” he added.

When Spears joined the show first time round, it got the highest rating ever and it has since then maintained an elevated audience level compared to last year.

Once considered on the bubble for a fall renewal, the critically acclaimed comedy is now considered a lock to return next season. (ANI)

Miley Cyrus Defends Britney Spears & Lindsay Lohan

Miley Cyrus showed signs of further rebellions as she defended Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears’ wild behaviour, insisting that it’s “normal” for young stars to go off the rails.

The Hannah Montana actress, who caused shockwaves after going against her good girl image and posing in some racy photos for Vanity Fair, believes that LiLo and Brit Brit have “good hearts”.

She says: "Everyone has their time. And I think most 21- to 25-year-olds go through this kind of thing. Basically, they're being normal 21-year-olds, especially Lindsay (Lohan).

“I mean, most of that's pretty normal. If you went to most high schools, I could point out Britneys (Spears) and Lindsays.

"I guess that's why I'm so adamant about the Britneys and Lindsays and whatever, because I know those people and I know they have good hearts and they're just struggling."

Ashlee Simpson: 'Britney Spears is trashy'

ashradio.jpgAmericans - they just don't get Cockney rhyming slang, do they?

Still, it's not their fault. All they've seen is Benny Hill, Are You Being Served? and Don Cheadle in Ocean's Eleven.

And the latest American to fall to the Curse Of Not Understanding Cockney Rhyming Slang is Ashlee Simpson - who not only failed to understand a piece of that slang when interviewed in the UK recently, but put her big celebrity foot in it at the same time.

"In an interview the other day [on the Nokia Green Room], they asked me what I thought, 'You've had one too many Britney Spears' means," Ashlee told an American reporter. "I was like, 'What?' And they said it means you've had one too many beers. Without missing a beat, "I was like, 'Oh, you've had one too many trashy girls!"

Oops.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe I just said that!" continued Ashlee. "It was really bad. I felt horrible."

Three words, Ash*. Horse. Stable. Bolted.

Is Hillary Clinton, Presidential Candidate the Britney Spears of Politics?

You may remember when Madonna crowned Britney Spears as the queen of pop with a kiss. In similar fashion, President Bill Clinton and the Democratic elite passed the presidential baton to Senator Hillary Clinton at about that same time. However, the presidential election cycle didn't get started until 2007. By that time, a cultural sea change was well under way that started with our twenty-somethings and crept into the ranks of thirty- and forty-somethings. The "Baby Boomers" are being assimilated as we speak, and Hillary Clinton faces the same non-starting reign that Britney Spears had after her coronation

"The Kiss" was supposed to be the coronation of Britney Spears as the new Queen of Pop Music. The general interpretation was that Madonna was passing the crown to Spears with a kiss. That was June of 2003 and Britney's career went in the opposite direction from there.

Roy H. Williams, known as the Wizard of Ads, puts forth a well-researched theory of Britney's failure that doesn't have anything to do with the quality of her music or her manic personal life.

So, what happened, and how does this apply to Hillary?

According to Williams's theory, we changed as a culture. This same change may be plaguing Hillary Clinton.

Williams contends that every 40 years -- almost like a clock -- our culture does a sudden and complete shift. It happens quickly. Williams presents evidence that the shift takes only six years to complete. Within that time, not only will the tastes and attitudes of our young people have been cemented into the culture, but the attitudes of the elder generations will have been irrevocably altered as well.

Williams believes that this process will be complete by the end of 2009. Clinton may not make it into office before the door closes.

Essentially, Madonna passed the baton to Britney Spears at a time when our emerging young generation -- the "Millennials" -- was changing our culture. This generation is very different from the "plastic, me-me" culture that lifted Madonna to dominance and spawned Disco at its zenith.

Likewise, Clinton reflects the attitudes of our "Baby Boomer" generation. According to William Strauss and Neil Howe, authors of The Fourth Turning, the generation that wouldn't give in to "the man" in the sixties and seventies became a legion of equally uncompromising legislators and bureaucrats.

This new generation isn't "down with that," and more and more of us older folks find ourselves agreeing.

Grass-roots power as a notion is gaining power as our culture shifts. This is reflected in the success that presidential candidate Barack Obama has had in raising funds on the Internet. He has raised significantly more money than Clinton with a smaller average donation size. This is the signature of grass-roots fund raising.

It appears that Obama has crashed Clinton's coronation as the harbinger of another generational shift. While, Obama may well be lifted into the Democratic nomination, this is no fault of Clinton. She would have had the same chance against a tsunami wave.

There is hope for, however. Madonna, now in her 50s, continues to ride a wave of popular success. She has been able to shift with the generational tide. The question is, "Can Clinton do the same?"

Britney Spears back on track, says aunt

London, May 10 (ANI): American pop star Britney Spears aunt has confirmed that the troubled singer is well again.

Chanda Mcgovern has given credit to Spears parents Jamie and Lynne for getting their daughter back on track, stating that, had they not interfered, the singer would not have recovered so well.

“We didn’t know if she’d make it through the next day and we’re all very proud of her now, The Sun quoted her as saying.

“This time last year everyone was in turmoil,” she said.

Mcgovern also added that the problems could have started because of Britneys attitude.

“She is very headstrong and doesn’t like being told what to do, Mcgovern said.

“I hope she’ll never walk down that path again and I think she’s got a bright future,” she added.

To prove that her aunt was right about her, Spears was seen looking much better than before as she stepped out in Hollywood, without the scruffy look she usually sported.

She was spotted having dinner with billionaire George Maloof in Hollywood, and speculations are on that the pair are working on a career revival.

Besides turning her life around, the mum-of-two has also conquered viewers with her How I Met Your Mother cameo. The show became such a huge success, that she was invited back for a second episode. (ANI)

Britney Spears arrives at LA courthouse with little fanfare

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears quietly arrived in court Tuesday and was sworn in for her child-custody hearing, a departure from the spectacle of previous appearances that included screaming fans with banners, frenzied paparazzi and the troubled pop star dressed in cocktail-party attire.

Wearing a brown polka-dot dress and white sweater, a somber Spears entered the courtroom flanked by a handful of people, including her parents and attorneys. Ex-husband Kevin Federline arrived about 15 minutes later in a beige pinstriped suit with attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan and spokesman Elliot Mintz.

Moments after Commissioner Scott Gordon swore them in, Spears attorney Stacy Phillips asked that the hearing be closed, and Gordon ordered reporters to leave.

Both Spears and Federline re-emerged a short time later for a break and went to separate rooms. Spears walked hand-in-hand with attorney Blair Berk, speaking in a low voice as they got into an elevator.

The dozens of people who witnessed Spears' courthouse arrival as a front-seat passenger in a white Land Rover waited outside. But even this collection of photographers, reporters, sheriff's deputies and prospective jurors didn't compare to the circus that surrounded Spears' January trip to the courthouse, when she arrived in a black minidress and gold platform shoes, then left before the hearing began.

It's been three months since Spears left a psychiatric ward a week ahead of schedule and stirred up a paparazzi car chase, a scene that looked like the beginning of even more erratic behavior. But in the weeks that followed, she lay low and largely avoided the cameras, spent time with family members and even found success in a cameo appearance on on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother."

During that time, the 26-year-old pop star has been under the conservatorship of her father. The court-ordered arrangement put James Spears in control of his daughter's personal and financial affairs.

Federline has had full custody of his two sons by Spears, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, since January, when police were called to Spears' home after she refused to relinquish one of the boys to a Federline bodyguard. Spears was taken by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center.

Her visitation rights were suspended at the time, but have been gradually restored in recent months. Tuesday's hearing was to include discussion of a psychiatrist's evaluation of Spears, a person close to the case told The Associated Press. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and requested anonymity.

Gordon could modify the couple's visitation agreement Tuesday based on Spears' recent conduct, the person said.

Spears was a constant media presence before the conservatorship took effect. Photographers captured her every visit to Starbucks and gas stations around Los Angeles, and documented a bout of bizarre behavior that included appearing in public without underwear, shaving her own head and beating a car with an umbrella.

Since James Spears took over her affairs, the pop star has been relatively invisible to photographers, only occasionally snapped shopping or having dinner with her mother, Lynne. A traffic accident last month turned out to be a minor bump in which no one was injured, and for which no one was cited.

Spears' public appearances have been limited to a well-received cameo on "How I Met Your Mother," a role she reprised during a taping last week, a CBS spokeswoman said. The episode is set to air May 12.

"We're thrilled to have Britney joining us once again," series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement last month. The show's audience increased by a million viewers the week Spears appeared.

The pop star also made news last month when she took on full-time exercise and nutrition coaches from Bally Total Fitness. Once known for her flawless figure, Spears was widely ridiculed for her flabby form in September during a universally panned performance on the MTV Video Music Awards that was meant to herald her comeback.

Spears has been elusive at recent court hearings, her every anticipated appearance drawing a circus of media and paparazzi. A lawyer for Federline said the spectacle of her arrival in January — and subsequent quick departure — may have played a role in the commissioner's decision that she remain barred from seeing her sons. Federline has allowed Spears limited visitation rights since Feb. 22.

Britney Spears is back on TV

Well Britney Spears is back on television! She is filming her “How I met your Mother” as “Abby”, reprising the role that is about the only bright spot Britney Spears has had in her career lately. Critics and armchair television fans alike all thought she did a great job for the most part, and positive reviews ran the gamut. Even I kind of liked it! Britney was refreshing and it was nice to see her not screw something up and succeeding!

Her career was golden and she was at the top of the pop charts for SO LONG that it was really sad to see her take such a hard fall. As soon as she married Kevin Federline, she went visibly downhill. Having two children in a very quick period of time and then divorcing did not help anything. The shaving of the head, the mental problems, the losing custody of her children, her driving mishaps and the other things have all equalled to one of the biggest public meltdowns in history. I have giggled and made fun of her but I know that is so mean. I honestly would love to see her have some good luck.

There is only so much pleasure in making fun of someone. I am rooting for her now. I think she has had more than her fair share of problems. Of course, it will take BRITNEY wanting to get better and do well before she ever will. A lot of her problems have been of her own making and she will have to change that. I do wish her luck on “How I Met Your Mother” and I hope her performance was as impressive this time as it was the first time.

Britney Spears A Gift Like No Other

britney-jayden-1098734.jpg

The long drawn saga between Kevin Federline and Britney Spears child custody battle to the pop tarts emergency admissions to the psych ward were clear indications that the pop tart was on a downward spiral headed straight for doom! Sources have reported that Britney appears to have taken a detour and the path is now taking her in a much better direction.

EX husband Kevin Federline has given Britney a mothers day gift like no other. Federline wants their children to spend the day with their mom! May 11th, will be a day that Britney Spears can cherish for a life time.
